FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The auction environment, when well implemented provides an atmosphere that encourages the buyers or bidders to compete for items. This can result in the selling price of items being higher when compared to other venues such as tag sales or a single buyer purchasing the items.

The auctioneer will receive an agreed upon percentage of the items being sold. This percentage will be negotiated between the auctioneer and seller prior to the sale and will be specified in the auction contract.

I am currently licensed by the State of South Carolina, Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation and my Auctioneer License number is 4778.

It is often customary for estate auctions to take place at the site of the estate, this method has the benefit of the buyers experiencing where the items are from and provides a sense of prominence or background for the items being sold. If there are reasons that you would prefer not to have the sale conducted at the site of the estate, alternate venues can be used. This can include but is not limited to fairgrounds, community centers, and conference halls to name a few.

This same guidance can be applied to business liquidations as well.
